*Up for sale here is a very rare painted label acl soda bottle, from the Greenlee County town of Clifton, Arizona. I have not seen this one around before. Bottle is in very good shape, and clean, with some minor scattered scratches on it, away from the labels. The glass is sparkling clean, and has seen barely any wear. There is some slight frosting on the base only. Overall this example from the southwest displays handsomely, as seen here.
*The framed main label is all done with the white acl pyro, and shows a picture of the town or buildings with some trees. It reads (advertises) below the scene ~ "HOME BEVERAGES". On the reverse, all in the white acl lettering it reads ~ "Complete Line Of / Sparkling / Zestful Flavors / Contents 8 Fl. Ozs. / Home Beverage Co. / Clifton, Arizona-". The left side seam goes into about 5% of the main label, but is non detracting.
On the base of this soda bottle is embossed ~ "23 (I) 56 / A / 267-G". Bottle was made at the Los Angeles, California Owens-Illinois Glass Plant in 1956. This clear eight ounce bottle measures 8 3/4 inches tall, and 2 1/4 inches in diameter. You will be pleased with this piece of soda pop bottling history, from the western state of Arizona.
