*Up for sale here is a scarce quart western two color painted label acl soda bottle, from Reno, Nevada. This nice stippled example is in excellent shape, and has seen no wear. The clear glass is sparkling clean, and all of the red and green acl lettering on both sides of the bottle is excellent. The label is perfectly positioned between both the side seams. Bottle would date from 1937. Quite early for an acl bottle.
*It reads (advertises) on the bottle ~ "Family (State of Nevada) Pack". Then lower down on the contrasting red and green main label, it reads within the outlined state of Nevada ~ "SILVER / STATE /.Reno / BEVERAGES". On the base it is embossed ~ "23 <0> 7", for the 1937 date. Made by the Los Angeles, California Owens-Illinois Glass Plant, during this time. On the reverse it reads in the green acl ~ "5c / Refund On This Bottle". All around the lower heel it is embossed ~ "4209-G-7", and "One Full Quart". This tall quart bottle from the west measures 11 7/8 inches tall, and 3 3/8 inches in diameter. You will be well pleased with this piece of soda pop bottling history, from the west.
