1934 CONOCO RIVETED TANK CAR SERIES #9 NMIB PONCA CITY FULLY OPERATIONAL1994

Description

This auction is for a fantastic 1934 Conoco riveted tank train car. It is in near mint condition in the original box with stand, plaque, and instructions! There appears to be some minor warping to the metal pieces on the side of the train. There is also some gray paint showing on the brown of the stand but that appears to have been a manufacture defect. The train car was made by K-Line in 1994 and is fully operational. Only 16,566 were produced! It features little details such as the original marking for what would have been on the C.O.N.X 1112 as well as a single dome with opening port. The train car measures at 9.5" long and 2.25" wide, the platform measures 13" long and 5.25" wide and the box measures 10" high 14" long and 6.5" wide. The box has some minor wear including where the tape was in contact. The artwork on the box is by Wayne Huffaker and features the Ponca City refinery behind the train car. This is an excellent piece for any train enthusiast, Conoco collector, or Ponca City history buff!
