Vintage fold-out 1934 Conoco road map of Michigan, printed more than 87 years ago.
The map opens to 24" x 18" and has great detail on old highway alignments and route numbers, with cartography by H.M. Gousha.
There are inset plans of Detroit, Battle Creek, Flint, Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Lansing, Saginaw, and Isle Royale.
The map was published in 1934 by the Continental Oil Company of Denver, Colorado to promote its Conoco brand gasoline and motor oil.
It is dated by the code letter in the lower margin: H. Population data is from the 1930 census. Little triangles locate Conoco service stations.
